The pastor of the Church of St. John Fisher in Churchill today was arrested on charges of child pornography after investigating Detectives have said he recognized the use of computers in the Rectory Church to see at least 100 images of child pornography.
Rev. Bartley a. Sorensen, 62, was indicted for the crimes of the third degree in Pittsburgh early this afternoon. Rev. Ronald Lengwin, spokesman for the Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh, said in a statement that when the diocese officials learned of the report of an employee of the Church from what he viewed as criminal behavior by Sorensen's father, they immediately contacted police and removed from The active father Sorensen and put them on administrative leave.
